HPPI is a development organization operating for the humanizing of mankind and addressing social issues in the fields of health, education, environment, income generation, HIV/AIDS prevention and community development in the broadest sense.

HPPI started its first Development Project in India in September 1998 and was by the end of 2009 running 40 projects in 10 states of India, engaging over 1 million people in activities and programs within the above mentioned areas. HPPI is a member of The Federation for Associations connected to the International HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE Movement.
