Activists needed to fight shoulder to shoulder with the poor in Ecuador!

Now a new 9 month Ecuador Program is available at Richmond Vale Academy in the Caribbean in co-operation with Humana People to People in Ecuador.

You will after a training period go to Ecuador and work shoulder to shoulder with the poor and teach many topics like family planning, English, organic farming and soil erosion campaigns.

Humana People to People started its work in Ecuador in the end of 2007 and with 2 Child Aid Projects and now its possible to join for people that are hard working, over 18 years, motivated and flexible.

Ecuador is known for its oil boom during the 1970s. 35% of the population live in poverty and about 17% that are vulnerable to it. One and half million Ecuadorians live in extreme poverty, because they cannot meet the proper standards of living. This country has high rural poverty. There is a higher malnutrition rate in this country causing child mortality rates. The reason is that the families are unemployed and cannot provide their children with the right necessities of living.

Richmond Vale Academy, located in the small island nation of the Caribbean offers opportunities to interested to join the Ecuador programs.
The programs start in July, November and March every year.

The fighting with the poor program is 9 months including a 3 months practical and theoretical training period at the Academy and one month investigation travel in Ecuador, 4 months of working with the poor at the Humana People to People Child Aid Project followed by 1 month of evaluation and spreading the voice of the poor back in St. Vincent.

Courses start in July, November and March every year. School fees apply.
