The students are involved in all aspects of the college life from cooking and cleaning to the many different educational programs.

EPF (Escola de Professores do Futuro) is one of many projects in HPP.
Here in Nametil, we have a teacher training college with 122 students and 10 teachers working together so after one year of training, each of these students will be ready to take up positions in rural schools.

The students are involved in all aspects of the college life from cooking and cleaning to the many different educational programs which take place in the school. It involves many activities including agriculture, evening programs, sports, teaching pedagogy and construction.
As a part of their studies, students learn about the history and geography of the world, how to use computers, they learn English language as well as spending time teaching in one of the local primary schools to gain first hand experience of the life as a teacher.

Many overseas volunteers come to the college to exchange experience and to teach new things to the students.
The college has just received Development Instructors from Denmark. The Development Instructors are volunteers from all over the world who have spent six months at schools in Europe to be trained for their role in one of Humana People to People projects in Africa.
Belinda from Australia and Nadja from Switzerland are here for next six months. They are ready for their role as educators and instructors for the students. They will be involved in teaching English, Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and Health along with taking care of the students when it is needed and preparing educational evening programs.

The Students have recently performed at International Women’s Day.
They made a theatre play for the local community which was enjoyed by the whole crowd. Along with this, students also sang and danced. The mix of cultural performances were also being presented by other groups.
The people in the community are happy to interact with the future teachers and in this way they learn from each other.
